In the discipline of Information systems, technologies of e-commerce implementation influence over human resource management departments or marketing department of a particular sector are rarely understood (Quaddus et al 2007). The scope of the research based on this research proposal lies in identifying specific issues related to understanding the influence of e-commerce on the manner organization and management of employment takes place. Specific focus will be laid on the banking industry because of the significance of banking to development of e-commerce and the role it plays as a leading e-Commerce user (Quaddus et al 2007). The findings from the banking sector will be beneficial for various industries across the globe. The present literature shortage on e-commerce implications for Human resource department depicts that more research is required in the domain along with understanding prevailing theoretical models incorporating new production organization approaches.
The research will be divided into several chapters with each chapter having a specific importance of its own.
Research Objectives
To investigate the impact of emerging electronic commerce on traditional banking industry in China with specific focus on human resource orientation.
Research Questions
Main Question- What is the main impact of emerging electronic commerce on traditional banking industry in china especially on the human resource department?
Sub-Question
1.What are the main drivers for emerging electronic commerce adoption in Chinese banking industry?
2.What are the advantages for human resource department of adopting e-commerce in banks of China?
3.What are the disadvantages for human resource department to adopt e-commerce in Chinese banks?
4.What suggestions can be provided to add value for human resource departments when adopting emerging e-commerce in Chinese banks?
