The hypothesis assumed during the beginning of the research was that the people who use cruise would be affected by social cultural and economic elements and that this complex multifaceted relationship is what makes the person make the choice for accepting the cruise life during their travel instead of any other.
The research method used was effective. The mix of both qualitative and quantitative method was seen to be significant for the reach; however, making use of complete qualitative method would have aided in research I a more proper way.
Some challenges faced in the research process were in the form of collection of data for the research. It was difficult to find 100 participants for the research, even though the link for the research was easily posted on websites and more. Even difficult was finding the five people needed to conduct an interview. Participants were initially hesitant as to the process and more but as the data collection procedure went on they became a little more comfortable. I believe in future research, the data collection processes and structures would become easier for me
In terms of personal learning, this PIP enhanced the researchers understanding of how multifaceted elements will play a research in how some choices are made by urban tourists. These choices also vary based on the cultural background of the tourists. In terms of cultural literacy more often studies are conducted how on how changes are made in the business world, however this research highlights how these changes are seen to exist in a more comprehensive sense across many elements. The primary research was furthermore augmented by use of secondary research by means of existing research studies. Data collected from existing research studies show that people who wish to travel in order to find a more pleasant and laidback travel would opt for using the cruise, on the other hand people who want to take up travelling and tourism like that of an adventure would not want to use the cruise. There are clearly economic issues when a consumer makes a decision to take a trip on a course. In fact, the interviewed participant answers seem to indicate that the participants would actually plan way in advance in order to ensure that they are able to book themselves into the cruise. The cruise travel is hence not a last minute decision at any point.
