把自己看作是自己宗教的局外人，也就是基督教，这意味着我对宗教的实践和信仰一无所知。人们信奉的基督教的一种宗教习俗是施舍。这意味着一个人必须把收入的一部分捐给穷人和上帝的工作。虽然耶稣没有指定任何比例，这是要给予，人们通常遵循这一做法。基督徒认为，无论一个人拥有什么属于上帝，他都应该把同样的东西用在上帝的工作上。然而，如果我是一个局外人的基督教，那么这种做法似乎是相当奇怪的。这是因为一个人赚了很多钱，但把其中的一部分捐给教堂或上帝的工作对我来说没有任何意义。由于不了解宗教的习俗，我愿意把我辛苦赚来的钱花在自己身上，而不是捐给教堂。

Considering myself as an outsider to my own religion which is Christianity would mean that I have no understanding of the religious practices and beliefs. One religious practice of Christianity which is followed by people is Almsgiving. This means that an individual has to give a certain part of the income to the work of the poor and the God. Although, Jesus did not appoint any kind of proportion which is to be given, people usually follow this practice. Christians are of the view that whatever an individual has belongs to God and one should aim at using the same towards the work of god. However, if I were an outsider to the religion of Christianity, then this practice would have seemed to be quite weird. This is because of the fact that an individual earns the money with a lot of hard work, but giving some portion of the same towards the church or toward the work of the god would not make any sense to me. Being unaware of the conventions of the religion, I would like to spend my hard-earned money on myself and not give them to some church.

If I observe many people following the same convention, I would be shocked first of all as to why would anyone waste their money which they have earned with so much of hard work. However, I would try to understand as to why people indulge in this activity. I would refrain myself from drawing any conclusion about the religion before knowing about the same. Hence, once I get to know that the practice of almsgiving is used by churches to help the poor and needy ones, then it would not seem odd to me. We must all work towards the upliftment of the people who are incapable of doing the same. One of the ways an individual could do the same is by contributing some part of their income towards helping the poor and trying to help them in the best way possible. Thus, if I am not aware of a religious practice of a religion, I would try to know more about it and why is it being practiced by the people.
