An effective communication system is the key requirement for every business to succeed in today’s intensive competitive market. Whether operating in the home market or in a foreign country market communication cannot be ignored, rather it is specifically significant for businesses functioning at the international level. The communication strategy an organization follows is a major determinant for the volume of profitability that organization earns. Despite of these significances the management of firms at the international level overlooks the imperceptible barriers in the communication process arising due to the cultural differences. For companies that adopt the approach of globalization, culture is important that restricts an effective communication process.
As globalization is becoming the need of every organization to sustain in the market, culture is also gaining importance. The demand for national culture at the international level would directly affect the general business policies, the economic development and the demographic behaviour (Lillis & Tian, 2010). Communication is the process of sharing of information between people. At the international level people from two different countries or culture come together to work at the same place, this generates a situation of inter cultural communication. The focus of the report is on the intercultural communication issues. Under intercultural communication information is shared among people who have different levels of awareness and control and are from different cultural backgrounds.
