I work as an operations manager at a software firm in Sydney that creates mobile and web applications for clients across the globe. The company is midsized where about 300 employees work with offices at California, Sydney, London, India and China. The project generation is extremely high such that the ethical issue of “gross negligence” is higher and higher day by day. I have seen that the technical team has completely disregarded the specifications and features that need to be included such that there were no initial agreements signed. Going forward, I also noticed that the progress report has not been delivered to the client yet even after 3 weeks.

This looks like that the organization is in a bad shape and the top management has totally exposed gross negligence in this regard and that this is an important client who should not be missed at any point. Both the technical and client management heads have not seriously regarded this issue. When I tried to approach on the same, I have faced their negligence towards me as well. Impact of ethical issue on stakeholders .The company has distributed shares to the employees in the last few years and the presence and support of stakeholders are high. Due to gross negligence committed by the technical team, there is a probability that the business might deteriorate thereby leading to loss of confidence of stakeholders on the company. The client here is a chain of schools which is indirectly a stakeholder to our company. In this case, this ethical issue could possibly discourage the team’s association with my company going forward.
