The remainder of the paper is structured as follows. The first section will review literature on the adoption of technologies and wearable technologies in order to gather current knowledge on the adoption of technologies and understand the framework of factors affecting their adoption. The section will also gather any empirical evidence by way of scholarly studies already conducted on the adoption of Google Glass in particular in order to further gather a range of ideas on the factors affecting the adoption of wearable technologies in non technological industries, and to identify the gaps in research. The second section will cover the methods for primary research based on the understanding of gaps in the secondary research and the further narrowing down of research objectives. The methods will cover the research design; the methods of access for research study and methods of addressing ethical issues; methods of data collection; and methods of analysis of data. The next section will cover the discussion section which will discuss the implications of the findings, before drawing conclusions and making recommendations in the final section.

The following literature review will update current knowledge on factors affecting adoption of new technologies, wearable technologies, and Google Glass. It is assumed that because of the regency of the wearable technologies in non-technology industries, there is unlikely to be a big volume of research on the subject. Therefore the researcher proposes that any studies related to factors affecting adoption of new technologies may be used as a proxy for adoption of wearable technologies.
