Issues influencing the risk level associated with the crisis and disaster control
Perceived risks: It is usually the significant factor in determining the risk and has a huge role in decision-making procedure for the individuals who consume the item. In case the airlines would have been aware of the terrorist attack, then they would not have flown that night or the evacuation of those buildings would have been done (AlBattat & Mat Som, 2013). In case, there is a huge perception of the disaster or any kind of attack, then the tourism demand goes down.
Complexity of managing the crisis: In managing the risk, tourism industry has a huge level of complexity because this industry’s nature cannot be predicted. Tourism has been an uncertain industry because its evolution is very sensitive to quick transformations in the tourism surroundings. The basics of politics and economics have a huge impact on tourism and its growth.
The word terrorism can be linked with the attacks of 9-11, London Madrid or Charm-el-Cheick. One more example of such terrorism attack is of Paris. The terrorism attack has numerous and multiple impacts. Instant impact is related to destruction of infrastructure and properties with demise of lots of citizens. In short run, it impacts the economy, buildings, distractions, stoppage of production, drop in stock exchanges and materialistic impacts but in the long run, it impacts the mankind. It also affects the tourism business because the tourists search for different a sightseeing location which means that there is a downfall of direct for finances and investments and people show lesser interest in the destination (Maor, 2010). With the Paris attack in the year 2015, there were three suicide bombers who attacked during the match between France and Germany and the people were taken as hostages and there was huge distraction due to those suicide bombers.
