Robots like Nadine and Sophia have been created as social companions for people. They are humanoid robots that have been created to serve the social functions. It also epitomizes the role of women in the societies. In the reading by Harraway, there has been mention about the different parts amalgamated into creation of a cyborg. This reflects upon the feminist ideals proposed by Harraway. Being female or male does not make people automatically belong to any one group. Rather, it is the piecing together of different elements that constitute as to what is a person. Hence, Sophia and Nadine are reflection of the societal value. They are found to simulate the values of conventional women that unknowingly categories women into their stereotypes. To summarize, Nadine and Sophia are a reflection of how people in the different societies expect women to be in real life. Certain element of growth and technology might lead to liberation, but the stereotyping of women leads to adding to notions of patriarchal society. They are found to conform their ideas to the notion of what is perceived as good values in the societies.

Boorstin readings of societal narcissism have been effectively elucidated in the Cloud Gate. Analysis of the Cloud gate has also caused me to analyze and retrospect my values and understand the societal dynamics.
