Relationship between training and development and corporate culture
Effective planning or a great strategy cannot be an ultimate plan or a guarantee for the success and long-term sustenance in the business. There are multiple factors which come together for high organisational performance and the most significant element out of all is the corporate culture which helps the organisation to generate high performing results (Sung& Choi, 2014). Corporate culture helps in implementing the strategy in a perfect manner. Therefore, culture is of high performance for the success of the business and human resource department need to enhance their capability in order to impact the culture in a perfect manner (Sung& Choi, 2014).
Therefore it is important to understand that human resource functions are primarily responsible for shaping and bringing the maximum change in the culture of the business. The culture is decided by the management or top level official but the people actually enforce or implement it in the organisation are the people in form of employees which are recruited by the human resource department (Sung& Choi, 2014). Culture impacts the survival of the company, hence it is crucial for the human resource department to understand the culture well and act accordingly.
Training and development program is also designed according to the culture prevailing in the company. It should be such that, employee is able to perform to the maximum and sustain or in other words understand the culture well (Sung& Choi, 2014).
