Importance of Motivation Theories
Some feel motivated through materialistic things such as additional incentives, whereas, some feel motivated by appreciation (Collings & Wood, 2009). Hence, the theories of motivation play a significant role in identifying the different perceptions and sources that can be used for motivating employees. Therefore, it can be stated that it is important for managers and leaders to be considering the theories of motivation in order to be successful in motivating the employees.
Theories of Conflict Management
Conflicts are referred to as clash between different directions, views, actions, values, or interests of different people. When two or more than two people disagree on a specific point, it is considered as the main base for the rise of conflicts (Hall and Taylor, 2004). Disagreement amongst people takes place they view different things in a different manner, showing willingness towards different aspects in life. These differences are present because the style of thinking are different that contribute towards their encouragement for disagreeing on a specific point or having pre- disposal towards disagreement.
Work place environment, where a number of different types of employees work together, it is obvious that there will be a rise of conflicts due to differences in cultural values, background, ethics, and many other such elements. At times, these conflicts are resolved without the creation of chaos in the business organization and with settlement (Bratton and Gold, 2003). However, at times, this results in affecting the culture and environment set in the business organization. This results in the involvement of managers who solve and manage these conflicts by considering the theories of conflict management.
