The design seeks to offer eco-designing within the fashion cycle with discrete focus on the components of fair trade and sustainability. Much investigation has been conducted on the design in order to search for its feasibility. There is much evidence for the existence of reusable textile products. However, without sustainability and fair trade principles associated with it, any success gained by this design will be meaningless. The source from where the waste products will be reached is many but they require much concrete focus over where the waste is generated mostly. Examples of these are inclusive of following the waste stream of textiles for any particular company by taking proper permission from the company (Grerard et al., 2011). Information will be gathered on textile waste generation within the supply chain and the way in which it can be reached. Information will further be required for searching for more organizations that use textiles and have much waste generated. From previous investigation, it is evident that contact factories and textile mills will be essential as they might have surplus textile based endless supply.

The key requirement for this design is to explore different ways first by which waste can be accumulated. After this, the second step will be to ensure that the waste is stored within inventories and labour intensive efforts are characterized. The design will involve traditional handcrafted embroidery and this is a skill that has been mastered by certain specific regions across the world such as in India. The innovative result produced will hold much value even though it will be slightly expensive. This is because of labour efforts and fair trade principles involved but will have quality and no more will look like wastes. Further step will be to use primary source of information such as interviews and questionnaires for informing individuals on this type of design and the proposed approaches (Grerard et al., 2011). The design elements involved have their basis on the sustainability and tools used, which are inclusive of surveys, questionnaires, interviews and secondary research techniques.
