I completed SWOT Analysis and Porter’s Five Forces Analysis on Apple Inc. on the 21st of December of 2015. Both these analysis took 8 days and was completed on 29th December. However, the results were published on next day, i.e. 30th December. I scored 84% in SWOT Analysis highlighting my critical thinking and reasoning ability. In Five Forces Analysis, my score stood at 82% reflecting my understanding of business structure and factors affecting business and business environment. These tests depicted my personal entrepreneurial skills and abilities in evaluation of business ideas and giving constructive feedback. At the inception of this activity, I was in a dilemma if I would be able to cover all factors affecting the organisation in preparation of the business plan. The reason being Apple Inc. is a large multinational company with operations in various countries. Moreover, I was new to such an activity and modern business environment is dynamic. I was unsure about how to proceed with the activity and collect data to ensure my best efforts in the task.

There were lingering adverse outcome factors such as an unfavourable result. The tests provided me with an insight about how to evaluate business plan using industry and competitor analysis (Chapman, A., Johnson, D., Kilner, K., 2014). The outcome of the activity stunned me positively and highlighted my assessment abilities on preparation and evaluation of business plans. I like to study and observe business factors affecting organisations before preparation of business plan. Moreover, I pay due weight age to each factor considering their impact on any business organisation. The results were surprising for me since I was not expecting an average result. However, results have been very soothing. The results have forced me to re-think on my abilities to evaluate business plans. This is due to the fact that I never felt I possessed research and analysis abilities which are essential traits of “Entrepreneur Personality’. I am looking forward to change my business planning abilities through constructive feedback.
