Bringing upon further amendments in the law can make the e-commerce industry more reliable and accountable with reduction in ambiguities that both the provider of the personal data and information, and the keeper of such information face subsequently. Ambiguities are faced in terms of no knowledge of extent to which the provider can allow the keeper to use personal data, and the extent to which the keeper of the data can make use of that personal data. It is, however, true that e-commerce has brought many significant developments in lives of people and organizations, such as use of business intelligence tools. As every coin has two sides, e-commerce activities have also brought with them data protection and other issues that cannot be resolved by using traditional laws applicable to physical territories and businesses. It thus proves the hypothesis formulated in the paper. These concluding remarks are directed to reflect that amendments in the law to be effective from the perspective of making E-commerce and online shopping practices among people.
