The Data definition specification refers to the assessment, evaluation of the data garnered by the company, the hierarchical of data management protocols that it encompasses and the ultimate results that are expected from this data analyses. The data that is defined must have clear entities; the data participants and the factors that influence the data should be defined. The definition should be clear concise and precise. The data definition should be traceable and should be clearly elucidated. This data definition specification can then be compartmentalized and utilized in the different areas of the organization. Here a table showing what data will be needed to be stored in the system/as per module identified will be defined here.
The requirement traceability matrix is a matrix usually a tool employed in the IT projects to have an accountability. This traceability matrix is usually in the form of tables. Once the requirements of the projects are documented then they are checked with the actual functioning of the project. This enables project accountability. From this requirement traceability matrix the actual results of the project is checked. From this the people can develop the actual deliverable of the project, the time duration for the completion of each task and deliverable. From this any changes that had taken place during the course of the project can be traced.
