The chosen paper is closely associated with three selves, including authorship, discoursal, and autobiographical. These three selves, within the texts have been represented as a crucial aspect of formulating framework for the writing project of CLA. The texts, also, demonstrate the writing as a significant enquiry method. The article highlights certain new perspectives and thoughts in association with writing identity. It also tackles the approach of academic writing with strong arguments and methods of addressing the same. The author provides the assorted learners with efficient opportunities to develop their own tales and texts through validating and legitimizing the identities and experiences of adult ELLs as valuable resources and assets. This article has been developed in association with the society of US and other educational systems.
Furthermore, the texts argue that CLA can significantly motivate the learners to negotiate their processes of L – 2 learning in multi – cultural and multi – lingual perspectives (Barros, 2010). The author states that adult ELLs offer support to develop authentic texts which efficiently explore their cultural learning and language learning experiences. The article supports the argument that enjoyment of the learners in CLA writing project can offer them with enough space for ELLs to develop chronicles on the communities and self through utilizing the pedagogical concepts of teachers and their own life experiences (Cheshire, 2011). Writing, for the author, is an approach to gain a better understanding of the individuals’ goals with regard to the learning of English language.
In addition, to this the author has strongly justified his point of the significance of writing, especially CLA project writing, through stating that learners efficiently connect their past to both future and present, while associating with their professional goals, academic goals, and their texts (Baerghegger, 2010). It is also important to note that CLA can significantly envision the opportunities that are education – related and offer interactive process for recognizing answers for certain problems. Thus, the key argument of the author, as highlighted, is English is a significant opportunity for the individuals, all around the globe, to find legitimacy and power in a new language.
