It has been contended that the people are the recipient of whatever the decision the Auckland city council makes and the city councillors are there voices of the people. The different perception of the stakeholders and critical analysis for the same has been proposed in the following. Main contention of this plan is to reduce the single houses to address the housing requirement of the growing population the Auckland area. Another major proposal is to enhance the housing in the area to a mixed urban zone (Radionzconz, 2015). They contend for this proposal is that there will be accommodation for more number of people. There will be enhanced development in the region and address the situation of the growing population in the area (Luu, 2015). There would be greater growth and development in the area owing to this aspect. There will be increase in commerce in the region. More people will be benefited and there will be greater employment and development in the area. Transport facilities will be more leading to more trade and development in the region.

However there are many critics for this plan.The people in their region are of mixed opinion of this situation, majority of the people in the population contend that this would lose the aesthetic value of the situation. This would be encouraged by facilitating urban consolidation and intensity of the housing. There would be unequal distribution of the population as the plan of the council is to increase housing near the city areas. This would lead to pollution and also cause scarcity of resources according to the critics (Howden-Chapman, 2015). People feel that this would lead to more number of people contending for the same natural resources and this would eventually lead to scarcity of resources. There will be loss in the people and their homes. Neutral habitat and the ecosystem of the place would be affected owing to this aspect.
