This certification is provided by the International Organization for standardization. It implies that the company conforms to the important industry standards as set by the ISO. ISO certification gives credibility to the company. It also instills faith in the customers to bank with the bank of their choice. ISO ensures that the bank is following certain process and management systems which are standard for the industry. These certifications help the bank to attract more customers. The main concept behind such certification is to make the customers understand that the process and the procedures followed by the company are consistent and reliable. It also ensures that all the aspects associated with the business maintain a certain level of quality. The certifications also act as a testimonial conforming that the processes, management and the procedures used by the bank are standardized.
I am currently working at the Standard Chartered Bank. The bank looks after the banking needs of its customers. Since I am a relationship manager, I act as an interface between the customer and the bank. The customers approach me for any kind of banking related services or products. The internal customers for the bank are the various departments like the loan department, audit department, wholesale banking department etc. the various internal departments are necessary as they deal with various products offered by the company. For example when a customer approaches me for a housing loan then I need to direct the client to the concerned department. This department is also known as the asset department as it lends money to the people but earns as interest on the amount given as loan. I can keep the internal customers happy by helping them in finding good customers for the products which they have to offer. A cordial relationship between various departments is required for the bank to function smoothly. The various resources at the workplace are the human resource, financial resource, knowledge resource and the physical resource. All the mentioned resources are very important for the bank as all these help the bank to function smoothly.
