The analysis showed that Hondz is the largest competitor among other powerboat charters in the Isle of Wight. Hondz served business parties more than the private users. 1. Introduction
Hondz is the company who replaced ferries with the most dynamic powerboats. In the Isle of Wight, the largest island of England, ferries were the most common travelling option through the strait between the Isle of Wight and the mainland United Kingdom. The main hurdles in opting for a ferry for this travel are, (i) the long awaited queues, (ii) problem in accessing the terminal, (iii) the exclusivity offered to the customers, and (iv) the longer travelling time.
