This report has been written in order to shed the light on the code of ethics that are followed in the field of journalism. The report is based upon three scenarios related to the activities and practices of a politician and is not interlinked to each other. The first scenario is about the issue of petty theft against a politician. The second scenario is whether to reveal a story about the personal life of a politician or not whereas in the third scenario opinion has been given regarding whether to come up with a news of domestic violence case against politician. All the three scenarios have been solved with reference to past journal articles and books related to journalism.
According to the study of Kuhn and Neveu (2013), personal and professional life of individuals must be kept separate will making any judgments or any strategic decision against or in favor of an individual. Due to the fact, it has been recommended that news of domestic violence case must not be displayed to the general audience. Another reason of not disclosing this news is that the politician has done many activities that proved to be positive for the wellbeing of the overall state. The positivity of the politician regarding the welfare of the state has cast a shadow over his practice of providing harm to his daughter; therefore, it is better not to come with this story over media. In oppose to this, by coudgments or any strategic decision ansidering the study of Hartley (2008), it has also been suggested that news of domestic violence case against the man must be disclosed up to some extent with sympathetically so that individuals can elect their leaders .
