Some of the major steps that have been established in the PRC with respect to residual drug control is that of the publishing of standards on testing methods which are to be employed for drug residual control. These are based on information collected from some of the major counties and the MRLs. Thirty-nine standards of testing methods for the respective MRLs have been established for different drug residue products. The MOA has been improving on much of the exiting standards and has been gradually increasing the standards. As of the year 2009, there are as many as 140 different standards for residual drug testing. The drug testing standards comprise not just the residual drug elements but also includes those elements such as in the case of prohibited drugs Chloramphenicol etc (Gossner et al, 2009). Research conducted specifically on the use of pesticides and veterinary drug residues seems to indicate that the rural people in China might have more concerns about the veterinary drug residues compared to the urban respondents. This response of rural people worrying more about the veterinary drug residue more compared to urban people is a trend to be considered (Wu, & Zhu, 2014).

Research through ethnography will never be conclusive in definitive sense as it covers a lot of complex participants and interpretations which always seem to remain invalid and unreliable.
